Although Dr. R. J. Rushdoony is most known for his scholarly works on theology, history, philosophy, economics, education, and statecraft, A Word in Season reveals the intense, but simple, approach to applying one's faith to every area of life and thought. This is all done in a format of bite-sized readings on the uncompromising faith.

The multi-volume series is taken from over 430 articles written by Rushdoony over the span of 25 years (1966-1991) for the California Farmer, an agricultural periodical that provided him a regular column entitled "The Pastor's Pulpit." It has long been a desire of many to see these insightful and challenging articles published in a book format. We're happy to announce that the wait is over. Read and enjoy!

They are discounted because Chalcedon doesn't classify them as new condition.

Yes. We understand not everyone wants to have an account with another website. Thankfully, if you've purchased from a Shopify website in the past, you can login using the same credentials.

We have found in the past that not having account can hinder customers from getting the best discounts and prevent us from getting in contact with you should there be an issue with your order. All downloads are attached to your account and are available for download from the order they were placed in.

How much will shipping cost?

Please do not message us with this question. This isn't a question we can easily answer. Shipping costs rely on a lot of information:

what you are purchasing
your full address
how much items weigh
and what shipping method you choose

The easiest way to find out how much your order will cost and how much the shipping will be is to put the items into the cart and start the check out process (you do not have to commit).

Our system does want you to have an account to do this. We know it is inconvenient but we almost never email you (you might get a reminder if something is left behind in your cart).

Creating an account just makes it so you can see all discounts, shipping methods, taxes and prevents you from losing access to your receipt and tracking information should you place an order.

How long does it take to get my order?

These are estimated shipping timelines. The shipping methods you choose during the check out process will give you better estimations.

US Residents: Please allow 5-10 business days for standard shipping. Tracking information will be sent to you via the email or SMS number you provided. You can track all your packages in your Account under the Order tab.

International Residents: Please allow 10-20 business days (some countries can take up to a month to deliver packages). Please check your tracking information. Tracking information will be sent to you via the email or SMS number you provided. You can track all your packages in your Account under the Order tab.

Shipping Sales

Occasionally we have a Free US Shipping sale or discounted shipping. This is for packages within the United States. Packages are typically shipped USPS Media Mail or the most economical method available. Because of Shopify we are now able to offer some alternative shipping methods at discounted prices (we didn't previously have access to these shipping discounts).

International customers may be given a price discount when we are running a shipping sale.

Canadian residents: If you are able to have your package shipped just over the border in the US and pick it up, you will be able to take advantage of the free shipping or cheaper shipping options.

Australian residents: Chalcedon products can be purchased from Australian companies Koorong and Light Educational Ministries.
