From the preface:
How does one decide what is true or false, what is right or wrong, what is good or bad? Every man has a standard in matters of truth and conduct. This is his Voice of Authority. This voice is found either in God or in man. While God in His Word has revealed Himself to be this Standard, man, as a result of the fall, has usurped this position for himself. Broadly speaking, the consistent Christian recognizes God as his Voice of Authority while the non-Christian has given this authority to man.
The purpose of this book is twofold: to show the inadequacy of man to serve himself in this capacity and to set forth God’s claims to be the Voice of Authority.
NOTE: This edition was printed in 1978 and while still bound as a very delicate binding. Many of them will not remain together but are readable for those interested. They have been marked down for this reason.
